Musical Theater for Little Ones
with Lori Anderson York
for Ages 4 & 5

Week 1:  July 5 - 9, 9:30 - 11:00 a.m.
Theme: Clang, Rattle, Bing-Bang
Join us for a week of musical stories as we play and sing our way through favorite children's books, including Robert Munsch's
Mortimer.  We will make our own musical instruments, sing songs and play the different characters in each story.
Week 2:  July 12 - 16, 9:30 - 11:00 a.m.
Theme: Fishy Tales & Rainbow Dreams
Even the most beautiful fish needs friends.  Based on the Rainbow Fish story, we will talk, sing and act out ways to share and
be kind to our friends.  Craft time will include a rainbow streamer which we will use as a prop in our performance.
Week 3:  July 19 - 23, 9:30 - 11:00 a.m.
Theme: Monkey See, Monkey Do!
From Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed to Five Little Monkeys Bake a Cake, we will explore these popular stories
and bring them center stage.  We will let our imaginations run free and create our own Five Little Monkey story!
Fee per Week session:  $125
Workshops will take place at the Hopkinton Middle School Chorus Room

From Script to Screen
with Karen Webb and Dawn Anderson
For ages 8 - 12
July 26 - 30, 9:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
with show screening August 4, 6:30 p.m.
Our popular film-making class returns!  Spend a week writing, shooting, directing, and editing a short film to be screened to
family and friends, and then on HCAM-TV!  Participants learn hands-on about the many jobs needed to make a film, as well as
some great information about the film industry itself.  
Fee: $300
Please bring a lunch each day

Improv Comedy Week
With Mary Scarlata-Rowe
For Grades 5-8
July 12 - 16, 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Ever wonder how those actors on Who's Line is it Anyway? can be so quick to think of funny stuff to do?
There are acting skills that specifically help improvisational acting, and now you can learn and practice
them while playing some hilarious games.  End the week by producing a "Who's Line" type show for HCAM-TV.

Make Your Own Music Video
With Mark DiCampo and Emily Grill
For Grades 6-8
August 2 - 6, 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Learn how to perform for the camera in your own music video.  Participants will choose songs that are well-suited to their vocal
talents, choreograph some movements, and record their performance for HCAM-TV.

Cabaret Performance Workshop
With Mary Scarlata Rowe, and accompanist Sinai Tabak
For Grades 6-9
August 9 - 13, 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
In cabaret, a performer has a chance to entertain an audience with stories and songs that really connect on a personal level.  
Participants learn to develop their own style and truly infuse their personalities and individualism into their performance. Students
should bring songs they personally want to perform on to this workshop. A final performance will be recorded live for HCAM-TV
